Unhappy with the idea of navigating down an unknown underground waterway with likely ambushes, we decide to flank the water complex by retreating and approaching from the air complex, which we know has a connection to the water complex. Upstairs, we discover that both the orcs and the templars have set up shop to guard the river fort. They're currently arguing over which team has priority, but as both groups are fairly small, we convince them that they'll need to work together for now. One long trip later, we're down in the air complex heading over to the water complex, and fight a couple of guards there. As we fight, a sea hag dashes in and asks to talk with us. She claims it's the human cultists that are driving all the bad stuff, and if we help her wrest control from them, she'll keep the non-human water cultists out of our hair (i.e., not going around causing problems). We figure it's better than having to fight everything, particularly with other cults to deal with, so agree. We then go and fight the water cultists in the big ambush they'd set up, but we get to come in from an unexpected direction, and all the non-humans turn on them during the fight (although we do almost get roasted by a dragon turtle). 10k xp, 260 sp, 22 pp, and a letter addressed to M concerning recent events in Redlarch.
