We head over to Yartar to sell loot, shop, and see about setting up a temple to our new god. Three potions of water breathing (@750 gp), three potions of fire resistance (@750 gp), an immovable rod (1k gp), and three helpings of components for revive (900 gp). We check with the local priests about their ability to contact their gods and find the same story we'd heard in Redlarch (aka, nope). The priestesses do a bit of proselytizing about the new god (although we try not to play up the fact the she's the only god currently contactable in the valley, 'cause we'd rather not tick off the other priests). Sadly, we have no where near enough money to afford to erect a temple. We decide it's time to go clear out the lower levels of the water temple, so head down to the river fort. On the way, we're attacked by earth cultists (they're apparently using digging monsters to get around Renwick). 6900/6.5 xp, 93 gp. We give Ishmael 400 gp to show our appreciation. Once at the river fort, we unlock the grill to the water passage leading down and peek around. Kuatoa ambush! Two different religious sects attack us, each trying to show their god is best. Most manage to get away as they can swim. 9400/6 xp.
