Someone we captured while clearing out the fire tower tells of more
about what we'll find below.  The leader of the fire cult is Vanefir.
Her weapon is Tinderstrike (a dagger), and she can cast dominate person.
Imix if the evil elemental prince of fire.  The fire node is under
the fire temple (an ancient dwarven temple, not originally run by fire
cultists), as expected.

We take the prisoner up to Yartar and hand him over to the water baron.
We also buy a folding boat (no more waiting for passage!) and hire
Ishmael to pilot it.  Ishmael Wildriver is a 5th level tempest cleric
(water pirates have taken his sister captive).
