That night, the group is sacrified the evil elemental prince of air by being dropped off the castle (25 xp). However, unbeknownst to the knights, below a layer of clouds they're rescued by servants of Araqa, another one of the elemental air lords (one of the good ones, presumably). They tell the group that they'd been dispatched by their boss to find out about a node in the area that connected to the elemental planes, and just happened to be around when we were dropped. They don't care for the cultists either, as they follow the wrong elemental prince of air, but can't do much themselves. They do offer us a couple of magic items (as a long-term loan) - a wind fan, and a javelin of lightning. We decide to take down the knights, but obviously they're too much to handle all at once, so we wait. After a while, the knights fly off on some mission, and we assault the castle, taking down the servants (many of whom appear to be monks with elemental air powers) (2000 xp). Having captured the castle, we loot it (300 gp, 66 gp of geegaws, potion of heroism, scrolls of beast bond, sky write), and set up an ambush for the returning knights. The ambush is successful! Most of the knights and servants are slain (as we're a bit peeved at having been sacrified), but the two survivors are taken to Yartar to be turned over to the authorities (1000 xp + 2000 xp bonus). We also rescue an earth cultist monk who had been taken captive by the knights (that was the mission they'd been out on), and release him to make his own way back to the monastery.
